Performance characteristics
1. Coatings are commonly used film forming additives, which can reduce the film forming temperature of the emulsion.
2. Low solubility in water, high film forming efficiency.
3. It has a certain volatility, which can be retained in the film to play a role in the film formation process, and all volatilize after film formation, without affecting the film performance.
4. It does not affect the stability of the emulsion.
 
Recommendations for Use
1. Under normal circumstances, the addition amount of XY-CS100 is considered to be about 3-9% of the solid content of the emulsion. A larger amount of addition can get better results. When it exceeds 12%, it will have a certain impact on the stability of the emulsion.
2. In the production of latex paint, the amount of XY-CS100 added mainly depends on the hardness of the emulsion polymer, and the harder emulsion (high Tg value) needs more addition than the soft emulsion (low Tg value) to achieve its film formation effect. In principle, it can be added directly by stirring at any stage of production. In addition, different formulations of the same emulsion (different PVC) will also require different amounts of XY-CS100.
3. XY-CS100 can be added in two parts, which will give full play to its advantages:
a) Adding 1/2 amount of XY-CS100 at the grinding stage will help moisten and disperse the pigment/filler.
b) Adding 1/2 amount of XY-CS100 in the paint mixing stage will help to inhibit the formation of foam.
